The [British Data Awards](https://predatech.co.uk/british-data-awards) is an annual campaign that celebrates the organisations and people that are deeply passionate about data and helps to uncover data success stories. Organisations taking part this year include FTSE 100 giants, tech unicorns, innovative start-ups, large public sector bodies, agile not-for-profits and everything in between. MD and co-founder Sam Herbert said: *“Being named Runner Up in this category is a real honour.  Helping our clients in scholarly publishing to unpick their data challenges so they can digitally transform has been at the heart of our business for the last fourteen years.  This acknowledgement of our team’s technical excellence is a proud moment in our history.” * Jason Johnson, Co-Founder of Predatech and British Data Awards judge said: *“I’d like to extend my congratulations to all our 2021 Runner-Ups. Being named a Runner-Up is a real achievement, and all organisations should feel immensely proud. I’m really excited to see what the next 12 months has in store for them all.”* [Winners and Runner-Ups](https://predatech.co.uk/british-data-awards-2021-winners/) were announced in 16 categories. Categories include sector specific awards such as ‘Healthcare Organisation of the Year’ and ‘AI Company of the Year’ as well as overall awards including ‘Large Company of the Year’ and ‘Data for Good Initiative of the Year’ which received the most entries this year. ‘Start-Up of the Year’ was also particularly keenly contested, helping to reinforce the UK’s reputation as a hotbed of innovation and new businesses. Every region of the UK is represented among the British Data Awards 2021 Finalists, although organisations based in London make up 35% of the Winners and Runner-Ups. 13% are based in the South West, while the South East, Yorkshire and the Humber and Scotland are each home to a further 10% of the Winners and Runner-Ups. The 2021 judges include: Neil Carden, COO of Forth Point, Jason Johnson, Co-Founder of Predatech, Mahana Mansfield, Data Science Director at Deliveroo, Tej Parikh, Chief Economist at the Institute of Directors, Harriet Rees, Head of Data Science at Starling Bank and Dr Jo Watts, CEO and Founder of Effini.  The British Data Awards are run by [Predatech, a cyber security company](https://predatech.co.uk/) that helps organisations to protect their businesses, their customers as well as their data. ![](https://67bricks.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/were-a-british-data-awards-2021-runner-up-content-2ae4f80a.png?width=1242&height=1450&name=were-a-british-data-awards-2021-runner-up-content-2ae4f80a.png)   ## [![](https://67bricks.com/hubfs/Secaro%20launch%20news%20card%20(1).png) About The Team, News 67 Bricks appoints former international CEO Peter Lake as Board Advisor to support next phase of growth 6 February 2026](https://67bricks.com/blog/67-bricks-appoints-former-international-ceo-peter-lake-as-board-advisor-to-support-next-phase-of-growth) ## [![secaro platform launch built by 67 Bricks](https://67bricks.com/hubfs/Secaro%20launch%20news%20card.png) News, Press Release Secaro launches new supply chain intelligence platform built by 67 Bricks 17 December 2025](https://67bricks.com/blog/secaro-launches-new-supply-chain-intelligence-platform-built-by-67-bricks) ## [![](https://67bricks.com/hubfs/Copy%20of%20Copy%20of%20Copy%20of%20Copy%20of%20LinkedIn%20article.png) News, Insights How IWSR built a modern data platform that unlocked growth, new revenue streams and a high-value acquisition 13 October 2025](https://67bricks.com/blog/how-iwsr-built-a-modern-data-platform-that-unlocked-growth-new-revenue-streams-and-a-high-value-acquisition) ## [![](https://67bricks.com/hubfs/Copy%20of%20Copy%20of%20Copy%20of%20Bone%20%26%20Joint%20card%20(1).png) About The Team, News, Awards AI Talks with Bone & Joint takes home the ALPSP Innovation Award 25 September 2025](https://67bricks.com/blog/ai-talks-with-bone-joint-takes-home-the-alpsp-innovation-award) [![67bricks-logo-white](https://67bricks.com/hubfs/67bricks-logo-white.svg "67bricks-logo-white")](https://67bricks.com/) **Where to find us** 67 Bricks, The Quad Summertown, Lambourne House, 311-321 Banbury Road, Oxford, OX2 7JH Email: [contact@67bricks.com](mailto:contact@67bricks.com) A registered company in England and Wales 06242204.
