You’ll hear the digital journeys, harsh realities and lessons learned of two pioneering but very different scholarly publishing firms first hand. Harriet is Marketing Director at Yorkshire-based Emerald Publishing, which was named IPG’s *Independent Publisher of the Year 2020* and *Academic & Professional Publisher of the Year 2020*. Scott Williams is VP Platform and Technology at De Gruyter, a 270 year old academic publisher based in Berlin, with a long heritage in books and journals. During this session, you will get the inside track of what it’s like for leaders committed to bringing about digital change in a traditional business. Our conversation will be followed by a live Q&A session at 14:10, where the audience will have the chance to chat and pose questions to the panel directly.
