There was a full house for 67 Bricks co-founder Sam Herbert’s seminar at London Book Fair this week.  Sam ran a packed session at The Faculty on Day 1 of the flagship publishing event titled: Scholarly Publishing Comes of Age: Where Are You On The Journey to Data Maturity?

The subject got the audience of academic publishers really thinking about putting data first and foremost and Sam was approached by several delegates afterwards, including one with an opportunity to contribute to a new white paper on the topic.

67 Bricks also featured in a piece in the Daily Academic Bulletin distributed at the Fair and talked about the changes in scholarly publishing in the last twenty years, as well as touching on some real life examplies of how emerging technology like AI is helping publishers speed up and improve critical parts of the publishing workflow.

Sam said he was looking forward to talking to more academic publishers about data throughout 2019.  “There is simply no escaping the fact that data is transforming our content products and publishers need to move now to make sure their business stays in shape to meet the new demands of readers and researchers.”
